Overview
American Operations is looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to support the Department of the Navy, Naval Sea Systems Command, The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) has a broad and diverse research, development, test and evaluation (RDTE) portfolio with an emphasis on warfare systems development and integration. NSWCDD is determined to standardize and automate processes and procedures to become more efficient, structured, and transparent in its mission to provide services such as RDTE, analysis, systems engineering, integration and certification of complex naval warfare systems.
NSWCDD endeavors to deliver IT solutions that are transformational and agile with innovation, collaboration, and speedy delivery through a rapidly scalable and adaptable IT “ecosystem” characterized by on-demand network bandwidth, storage/compute power, and secure end-user data access from anywhere, at any time, from any device
Responsibilities
- Supervises and manages the daily activities of configuration and operation of business systems which may be network or client/server based
- Optimizes system operation and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning.
- Provides assistance to users in accessing and using business systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and eight (8) years of relevant experience
